A M E L A  is a Photo + Design Studio of Amie Nicole Childers, an NC native. Currently based in the Texas bohemian oasis of Austin, Amie continues her personal work while pursuing her new career as a Licensed Real Estate broker/ Agent. 

A M E L A is the creative work of Amie Nicole Childers. Amie worked in Photo and Film production in Santa Fe, N.M. and Los Angeles, CA for over 18 years. Graphic design was a natural transition, after managing a design studio for her first 3 years in LA.  Amie worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer for several years, also spending some time with a Creative Real Estate Partnership that revved up her love for architecture, modern spaces, and landscape design. Constantly inspired, Amie shoots and edits images on the regular. She is also transitioning into work with video and more photo illustration is coming soon. Amie's love for nature is found in her landscapes and travel imagery. Her top influences are Jean-Luc Godard, Ellen Von Unwerth, Man Ray, Andy Warhol, and fashion magazines everywhere. When not capturing moments, you can find her hiking, exploring like a tourist, or enjoying the local culinary scene.
